One Huge Mistake!

I’m back!  Little has been done on the layout over the past few months due to a medical issue and traveling from the end of May until the beginning of August.

Blue tape had been used to mark any problem areas we found in Op Session #1 and those areas corrected.

The 10-track staging yard has been waiting for help in programming the Arduino controller.  Speed Muller came over Sunday evening to do that.  Then I was shocked and terribly embarrassed when he asked, “Why are the controller boards in the wrong location?”  I can’t believe I never noticed my BIG mistake, putting the West board at the East end of staging and vice-versa.  GRRRR!  Blame it on my age (80), I guess.

We switched the boards around and then Speed programmed them.  What should have been less than an hour turned out to be over 2 hours.  Now I just have to power the points and connect track feeders which I cut trying successfully to find a short.

You can see Speed’s reaction to my mistake!  Photo shows West control panel in wrong position.
