Pick holders were hot-glued in place to the right of each clipboard holder. Originally 2 holes were drilled in them to accommodate the picks and pens. I found have pen holders on each clipboard was a better solution because the pens stuck up too high above the layout – easy to snag on.
Picks were cut so they only stick up a fraction of an inch. The blunt end is painted red with the idea that end is always up so no one gets stabbed. Glad I drilled the holes on the drill press so all are the same depth. These were salvaged from the previous layout along with the drink and clipboard holders.
Clipboard holder are placed about 4′ apart at switching locations. Picks are found always on the right. I still have to add Velcro in the same locations to hold the throttles.
