I hate to share the little progress that has been made. Every week this month has been filled with doctors’ appointments for my wife or myself and they usually take up over 1/2 the day. I’m continuing on with lung treatments that have been ongoing for the last 6 weeks – had 1/2 of upper lobe of left lung removed when I got out of the army.
I have installed the 9 Tortoises for the west staging yard and wired them in. There needs to be some minor adjustments to a few of the Fast Track switches. The programing for the Arduino controller is not throwing the correct switches and needs trouble shooting – just started on that today.
While listening to nightly news, I started building a Campbell produce shed which I am modifying. I have two of the same kits and want different looks for them.
A non-sound decoder was installed in one locomotive.
A few of the locos and all of the cars were transported in trays. 3 of the locos that had a driveshaft from the tender to the locomotive bend in transport from California. Piano wire – go figure! I’ve managed to straighten the shafts enough that the loco runs without driveshaft vibration. Many of my locos were modified pre-DCC with large Sagami motors and flywheels in the tender and a custom weight cast to fill the boiler.
Wish I could report more, can’t wait to get of medications and for my wife’s PT to end and for her to be able to drive again.
