All cars and locations have been entered into JMRI.
A lot of time has been spent toward planning sequence of trains for operations. Locos were run over the layout multiple times at about 18 to 20 mph (covering 3′ in 10 seconds). Times to each station was recorded. This should help when string diagrams are being developed.
A chart shows all the scheduled freight trains for the 1926 time period. The schedule was acquired from the Sacramento State RR Musuem Library.
All switches at the east end of staging have been connected to the curved staging tracks. The white squares show where locos need to stop to avoid fouling. There are a couple that initially were wrong and will get painted over in dark brown. No power nor Tortoises in yet.
The final #6 switch was made for the west end. Now just two 3-ways and then staging can be completed.
